Yardman / Driver

Our client is a leading national provider of logistics and vehicle movement services, supporting major industries with large-scale yard operations and efficient transport solutions. They manage the coordination, storage, and movement of a wide range of motor vehicles across their secured compounds.

This role supports their vehicle logistics operations, where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles from point A to point B within the yard. Vehicles may arrive via trailer or lorry and will need to be parked or relocated to designated bays and areas within the compound.

It’s an ideal role for someone who has a genuine interest in cars, enjoys being behind the wheel, and is confident driving a range of vehicles. The ability to drive a manual gearbox is essential, as you’ll be handling various makes and models — including new vehicles and high-end brands.

About your new role:

• Safely drive and manoeuvre a variety of vehicles (including new dealer vehicles and customer-owned prestige vehicles such as Porsche, Mercedes, 4x4s, etc.)
• Park vehicles in assigned bays and relocate them across the compound
• Complete required paperwork
• Refuel vehicles and perform basic tasks such as jump-starting if required
• Walk extensively throughout the compound (approximately 12,000–20,000+ steps per day)

About you:

• Must be able to drive a manual gearbox
• Must complete a Police Check
• Must provide a Driving History Record
• Confident and experienced driver
• Forklift licence (LF) highly regarded but not essential
